1. I would like to have an idea about the student’s safety on the University campus as I don’t belong to Ahmedabad. What should I know about staying safe?
The entire GLS University campus is under CCTV surveillance and there is full time security placed on all the entrance gates of the University. The students are also free to contact their class counsellors as well as senior students at any point of time. As a part of students’ support system the college also has an Anti-Ragging Cell and a Grievance Redressal Cell. However, it is a matter of pride that ever since the inception of SMPIC college in 1999, the college has never had any ragging case. In fact, right from staff members to senior students, all ensure that the whole environment of college is conducive for the new students to adjust comfortably. So rest assured the student is absolutely safe on the Campus.

3. Is it necessary for a student and a parent to attend the Orientation Session as well as the Parent-Teacher Meeting?
4. How does a student get to know the important dates for examination as well as various submissions?
5. If a student has studied in Gujarati Medium till Class XII, would he/she be able to cope up with the B.Com. (Hons.) Programme?
For students coming from Gujarati medium schools, the college offers a special add-on course i.e. Certificate Course in English to help them to be at par with those coming from English medium backgrounds. Also special sessions are conducted to make the students well versed with the terminologies in English especially for the subjects like Accountancy, Management and Economics.
