TOPIC: Know Your Constitution-Celebration of Indian Constitution Day

Highlights: Indian Constitution Day is celebrated on 26th November which is known as National Law Day. The session was conducted by a renowned lawyer and SMPIC alumni Mr. Trivedi. He stated that the constitution day was first celebrated in 2015 as a mark of tribute to India’s first law minister Dr. B. R. Ambedkar, who played a pivotal role in the drafting of the Indian Constitution. He gave a detailed overview of Indian constitution. He explained the formulation of Constitution in India and its role in our country. He made the students aware about the rights and duties of Indian citizen and he motivated students to become a smart and responsible citizen. Being an alumnus, he mentioned that college played a great role in grooming his personality and developing his career. He suggested and motivated students to take active part in college activities and guest lectures for the overall development. He explained the importance of democracy in India and how far it is associated with strong Indian Constitution.
