I cleared my CIMA level-2 in the first attempt and secured All India 3rd Rank. This wouldn’t have been possible without SMPIC (Faculty of Commerce) GLS University. The faculty members and teachers were the ones who showed me this path. I got to know about this course from the college itself. The teachers helped me at every stage and they were always my pillar of strength. Their guidance and blessings helped me reach where I am today. They were always there to support me. Whenever I had even the slightest doubt, they replied me in no time. I’ll be forever grateful to Faculty of Commerce SMPIC and I hope I’ll continue to make my alma mater proud.

I was really young when I decided that becoming a Chartered Accountant would be a part of my journey. And often, when one embarks on a journey, it’s not just him but the ecosystem around him that sails through the journey.Today, I can proudly say that everyone at Faculty of Commerce- SMPIC was an essential part of that ecosystem. They helped me to manage my time efficiently enabling me to balance my college and CA studies. Timely GLS sports meets energized and refreshed me.I cleared CA – Final exams in the first attempt with an All India Rank, something which I don’t think would have been possible without the support of my family, friends & faculties. My everyday motivation was, “When you’re giving up, somebody else is still going.”For me, becoming a Chartered Accountant was not a destination itself, but just a stop en-route the destination and this journey was not easy, but it was worth it.

VISHAL CHITLANGYA

I don’t owe my Academic or Professional success to my destiny, courage, luck, belief, confidence, or fortune. I owe it to the wonderful guidance, encouragement, and support provided to me by the faculties and friends at the Faculty of Commerce [SMPIC], GLS University. The inspiration, support, and teachings not only helped me in my academic career but also in cracking CAT and getting admission into IIM Kashipur [Batch 2022]. All the events and activities conducted around the year by the college provided me with ample opportunities to learn much-needed skills like management, decision-making and leadership. I owe my admission at IIM Kashipur to the various workshops conducted by SMPIC to help us develop the most needed interpersonal and communication skills which helped me to get through the GD (group discussion) and PI (personal interview) round. There are two types of colleges, one which teaches their students what the syllabus dictates and the other which goes beyond the coursework to teach its students things that life dictates. Thank you, Faculty, of Commerce [SMPIC], for being the latter.

Studying in SMPIC has proven to be the best for a student like me doing CS along with graduation as our college had the Curriculum that prepared us according to the market needs and structure which eventually helped us with our professional development. Apart from that we were given ample opportunities to improve our skill sets by motivating us to participate in National Level competitions like MONETA and other Management related competitions. With SMPIC we could create a perfect balance between academics and co-curricular activities. The teachers here guided me throughout my journey because of which I could score in CS FOUNDATION an ALL INDIA RANK 21st while standing 5th in Ahmedabad and now with their well wishes and support I have been able to clear my Executive as well.

VISHNU VARDHAN

Being an introvert, it becomes quite challenging for one to showcase one’s thoughts and talents, and this is where SMPIC played a crucial role in my preparation for CAT and getting into IIM Udaipur [Batch 2022]. The three years at the college had been nothing short of the roller coaster ride. All the academic assignments, exam prep, and study groups gave me the experience of both working with people and leading them. In addition to all this, all the club activities, participating in various events and competitions, organizing a few, informal discussions, networking, and sports activities shaped my personality. What I saw was a steep learning curve for me. I never imagined that I would be able to crack the entrance exams this well if it were not for the support provided by the college faculties and mentors. The discussion on topics that I was unacquainted with, with Professors, helped me understand the issues and proved helpful later. The career counselling session, the etiquettes class, and the session on Group Discussions and Personal Interviews and feedback helped me improve my preparation for the Interviews, and many of those things came in handy during my years at IIM.
