ORIENTATION PROGRAMME 2020-21
FACULTY OF COMMERCE WELCOMES FRESH BATCH OF 2020 WITH A VIRTUAL ORIENTATION PROGRAMME
GLS University’s Faculty of Commerce welcomed the new batch students with a virtual Orientation Programme on 7th July, 2020. More than 600 students and parents joined the programme on the virtual Webex platform. Director Dr. M. E. Jokhi welcomed the students and congratulated them for joining Faculty of Commerce, GLS University. The students were made aware about various academic and co-curricular activities and achievements through an Audio Video presentation. They were also given information regarding syllabus and evaluation system. The students were also taken on a campus tour virtually. As a special surprise, students were addressed by the popular youth icon, RJ Dhvanit. He talked with them on the topic “UNLOCK POSITIVITY”. He talked about the importance of staying positive during the pandemic time. He encouraged the students to be a responsible, highly motivated, and well-rounded individual. He exhorted students to prefer research & entrepreneurship and asked them to attain overall development in sports, extra-curricular activities in addition to academics. The major objective of the programme was to make the parents and students aware of the academic aspects of the course, the rules and regulations of the institute and ensuring parental participation in monitoring the performance and progress of students.
